2009 MAZDASPEED3

Overview

The 2009 Mazda MAZDASPEED3 is a high-performance five-passenger wagon. It is a compact sports car designed to provide optimum exhilaration. A carryover from 2008, the 2009 Mazda MAZDASPEED3 is available in two trim levels - Sport and Grand Touring with a front-wheel drive setup.

Power and Performance

Under the hood of the 2009 Mazda MAZDASPEED3 is a 2.3-liter direct-injection spark ignition turbocharged Inline four-cylinder engine that delivers 263 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. The engine is teamed to a standard six-speed manual transmission. It sprints from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.6 seconds.

Build and Styling

The 2009 Mazda MAZDASPEED3 gets sport accents on the exterior from a sport-tuned exhaust with chrome-tipped tailpipe and integrated high-mount brake lights. Other exterior features include front grille; limited slip differential; 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels; and a rear roof spoiler. Xenon HID headlights and rear LED taillights are available on the Grand Touring trim only.

Automatic climate control; air conditioning with cabin filter; cruise control with steering wheel-mounted controls; 6-way manual adjustable driver's seat; power windows with one-touch down feature; 60/40 split fold-down rear seatback; scuff plates; and Sirius satellite radio-compatible audio system are some of the standard features on the 2009 MAZDASPEED3. Navigation system with Sirius Satellite Radio and a six-month subscription is the optional package available on the Grand Touring trim.
